The University opted for an evaluation by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) of the University Grants Commission. The Apex Council NAAC awarded Four Star Grade and subsequently re-accredited with ‘A’ Grade and Sri Venkateswara University is currently re-accredited with ‘A+’ Grade by the National Assessment & Accreditation Council (NAAC).

NAAC Accreditation determines the quality of the Institute in terms of Education, Research, Infrastructure, Teaching, Learning, Placement etc. NAAC accreditation helps the University in the allocation of resources, planning in the internal areas.In pursuance of the National Action plan of the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) for Performance evaluation, Assessment and Accreditation and quality upgradation of Institutions of Higher Education, the NAAC proposes that every accredited Institution should establish Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) as a post accreditation quality sustenance measure. Since quality enhancement is a continuous process, the IQAC will become a part of an Institution’s system and work towards realizing the goals of the quality enhancement and sustenance.


  • To make quality the defining element of Higher Education at University level through a combination of self and external quality evaluation, promotion and sustenance initiatives.


  • To arrange for periodic assessment and accreditation of Institutions of Higher Education i.e. Universities on specific Academic programs and Projects.
  • To stimulate the Academic environment for promotion of quality of Teaching-Learning and Research at University level.
  • To encourage self-evaluation, accountability, autonomy and innovations at University level.
  • To undertake quality related research studies, consultancy and training programmes and
  • To collaborate with other Stakeholders of Higher Education for quality evaluation, promotion and sustenance.
