Sri Venkateswara University was established in 1954 by great visionaries Late Sri Tanguturi Prakasam Pantulu who was the first Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh and Late Sri Neelam Sanjeeva Reddy, Former President of India to cater to the educational aspirations of people of Rayalseema area.  Today, after more than six decades, the University has established itself as a premier University catering to the educational aspirations of whole of South India.
