S.V. University Campus School, Tirupati was established in 1960 under the Vice-Chancellorship of late Dr. S. Govindarajulu, to cater to the needs of the children of the employees of Sri Venkateswara University.  It was inaugurated on 25^th September, 1960 by Smt. Durgabhai Deshmukh with Mrs. G.K. Herbert as its Headmistress.
