Prof. Chippada Appa Rao has been working as faculty in Dept. of Biochemistry since 1989. He obtained his Ph.D from University of Madras. He was awarded DBT post doctoral fellowship in IISC, Bangalore and PDF in University of Pennsylvania. He has received UGC Onetime grant in recognition of his research contribution and he has been awarded A.P. Academy of Science fellowship. Under his guidance 24 students were awarded Ph.Ds in Biochemistry. He has published more than 85 papers in International and National Journals and edited 3 books. He has completed 10 research projects funded by UGC, ICMR, and DAE ETC.
He has served several Administrations positions in the University such as Head, Chairman, BOS, Director DOA, Dean University Development, Dean, CDC and Principal S.V.U College of Pharmaceutical Science
