Being specialized in Bioanalytical chemistry, Prof. N.Y.Sreedhar has been teaching Inorganic, analytical, bioinorganic and organo-metallic chemistry to post graduation students for the last 30 years. His main research interest is in the area of electro analysis of Toxic trace metals, Drugs and Pharmaceutical and Pesticides in formulations, environmental and biometrics. He further contributed to the development/utilization of novel, non-invasive and high sensitive striping voltammetric technology for detection of early stages of cancer. He has published 128 research papers, one review article in international and national journals and his research results are presented in number of national and international conferences. He has successfully completed 7 national research projects funded by prestigious research bodies like BRNS, Mumbai, CSIR, New Delhi, DST, New Delhi and UGC, New Delhi. He guided 32 students for Ph. D. and 11 for M. Phil. degrees. He is an Associate Member, Andhra Pradesh Academy of Sciences, Associate Editor, Journal of Current Sciences and a Reviewer to International Journals like Journal of Electrochemical society, Monatshefte fur Chemie- Chemical Monthly, International Journal of Environmental Analytical Chemistry, Journal of hazardous materials, Spectrochimica Acta A. He served as Deputy Warden, Dept of Chemisty, S.V. University. He is the Fellow of Society for Sciences and Governing body Member, Task-Force on Community Development Programs. At present he is the Chairman, BOS, Dept of Chemistry, S.V. University Tirupati. Awarded BSR one-time grant of Rs. 7 Lakhs for academic excellence published 2 text books from UGC unassigned publication grant.
