About Fishery Science & Aquaculture Department

The Department of Fishery Science and Aquaculture was established in the year 1997 as an off shoot of Department of Zoology. Initially the department offered one year PG diploma Course in Aquaculture, but, subsequently the department started offering two year M.Sc., course in Aquaculture, M.Phil. and Ph.D programmes from the Academic year 1998.The students getting jobs in Aqua hatcheries/Aqua farms/Aqua feed companies/Aqua laboratories throughout Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu and in parts of India. After Superannuation of Prof. Reddy subsequently Dr. P. NAGA JYOTHI hold the Department on her shoulder and leading the department with her sincere efforts towards 100 placements. Dr. P.Naga jyothi is dedicated mind aimed to stand this department as “one the best” in the Campus. The University can say proudly that the department of Fishery Science and Aquaculture only the department in S. V. University has been providing 100 placements to outgoing M.Sc. Students. Department of fishery science & Aquaculture having M.O.U with one of the best multinational company in Chennai (CPF INDIA PVT LTD).
